Creech Engineers, Inc. can utilize a Leica C-10 Scanner to retrieve data of the existing travel way, power lines, bridge decks, signs, mailboxes, and above ground features. The resulting data is registered as a point cloud of three dimensional data.
The Leica C-10 Scanner acquires three dimensional images at the same time it acquires the point cloud and associates the images with the point cloud. The point cloud and images are then combined into a project, which is viewed with free software called “TruView”. The TruView project allows the user to view the project locations similar to Google Earth, but on a much higher accuracy. The Google Earth application may allow two (2) foot accuracy, whereas the “TruView” project can produce accuracies of less than one inch.
In addition, the project data can be delivered in two dimensional AutoCAD drawings, three dimensional AutoCAD drawings, shape files, cross – sections or slices through the point cloud, surfaces, DTM’s, and profiles.
